I never thought I’d be a tattoo artist for toddlers, but I have learned (the hard way) that it’s better to prudently apply those temporary tattoos of penguins, dinosaurs, sparkly fairies, etc. than give my two year old too much time to consider digging out the markers and creating her own “original designs”….
I never imagined having my small daughters sporting their “ink” and showing off for friends…like little mini-bikers on their plastic push cars….but here we are.
My secret goal is to make it “no big deal” so we don’t have a battle when they’re teenagers and asking for the real thing. I can give them “the look” that says, “umm, isn’t that stuff for two year olds??”
I didn’t say it was a brilliant plan.

What in the world is a retired Navy chaplain’s daughter doing writing scorching hot historical romances? Renee Bernard is applying a great education from traveling all over the world to story telling and doing her best to keep her father proud. Truthfully, her father is her number one fan, even though he has sworn never to read a single word of her books (a vow he has kept to this day!) Nothing stops him from telling everyone he knows that his daughter is now a USA Today Bestselling author
Jake has a box of the things and loves them. I have a hard time saying no to the temporary ones since I have 2 of the real ones. Besides, I always figure they can do anything they want that’s temporary as long as I reserve the right to laugh. Be warned, we had a lion that lasted over a month!
